High usable capacity and short charging time. However, there are minor deficiencies in its workmanship.

With the RAVPower 10.000 mAh a very good percentage of the capacity can be used. On the other hand, it is somewhat larger and heavier than its competitors. It also convinces with its short charging time and low heating. Only the workmanship of the case stands out negatively. So if you place more value on performance than on looks, this power bank is a very good choice.
In the meantime, this power bank is produced with a new design. This test report refers to the old design.
Due to its size, the RAVPower 10.000 mAh is just comfortable to hold with one hand. The case looks durable, but the transitions between the individual parts of the case are not completely smooth and there are gaps, on the top and bottom, in which dirt can quickly accumulate. The input and outputs are on the top, while the charge level indicator and button are on the front.
The power bank has two USB outputs (2.4 A each). The RAVPower 10.000 mAh is able to charge two devices in parallel and can also be charged and discharged simultaneously. The maximum output current at all outputs together is 3.4 A according to the manufacturer. A Micro-USB input (2 A) is provided for charging.
Since power banks never have their full capacity available, I measured the usable capacity of the RAVPower 10.000 mAh by discharging it via a resistor and recording the power. For this test I have set a current of 2 A. The measured capacity is about 9.190 mAh. This corresponds to 92 percent of the stated capacity of the manufacturer. Thus the RAVPower 10.000 mAh has the highest usable capacity of all Powerbanks tested by me in the category with 10.000 mAh.

You can conclude from the graph that the power output of the Powerbank is constant over the entire discharge period.
To measure the charging time, I connected the power bank to a power supply that can deliver the maximum charging current of 2 A. The power bank is connected to a power supply that can supply the maximum charging current of 2 A. The power bank is connected to the power supply of the power bank. The charging time of the RAVPower 10.000 mAh is about 4:32 hours.
Both during charging and discharging I noticed slight warming of the power bank with our thermal imaging camera. The higher temperature is reached during discharging and amounts to approx. 35 °C. I measured a temperature of 34 °C during charging.
Short-circuit behaviour and overload protection
A short circuit can damage the Powerbank and, in the worst case, lead to a fire. Such a short-circuit can be caused by a defective cable, for example. In order to investigate the behavior of the Powerbank in such a case, I intentionally short-circuited it. The RAVPower 10.000 mAh switches off immediately and is still functional after the short-circuiting.
I also investigated the behavior of the RAVPower 10.000 mAh in case of an overload. I increased the current consumption of a connected consumer until the Powerbank switches off.
The USB outputs which are designed for a current of 2.4 A do not switch off at that level, and not even with our maximum test current of 3.4 A. However, the supply voltage remains constant at 5 V.
With two consumers connected, the RAVPower 10.000 mAh switches itself off at a current of 3.9 A. This is 0.5 A more than the permissible current specified by the manufacturer. Here, too, the supply voltage remains constant at 5 V.
Falling to the ground was no problem for the RAVPower 10.000 mAh. I dropped the power bank in our office from a height of one meter onto the hard carpet. Externally no damage was visible afterwards and the power bank still worked perfectly.
We have evaluated approximately 150 customer reviews on the Internet. In summary, it can be said that about 85 percent of buyers are satisfied (4 stars) or even very satisfied (5 stars). Partially (2 stars) or completely dissatisfied are about 10 percent of the users. The average score at the time of the evaluation was 4.4 out of 5 stars.
