A very inexpensive device with a large selection of belts but without many design options and with a small display.

The CASIO EZ-Label Printer KL-60 is a decent device for simple needs. The advantages are that it is cheap and fast and the labels have sufficient print quality. The use of different thickness tapes is also interesting for the user. Unfortunately, the display is very small and the menu navigation is not convincing either.
The CASIO EZ-Label Printer KL-60 for mobile use convinces with its low price.
The keyboard is an English QWERTY keyboard. The keys are small but are far apart so that you can write comfortably.
The printing speed of the label printer is 11.5 mm per second, making it one of the fastest devices. The tapes are available in widths of 6 mm, 9 mm and 12 mm. You can choose between different colours. If you compare the prices for the original ribbons with those of other manufacturers, the purchase price is in the middle range.
With the print quality of the EZ- Label Printer KL- 60 it is noticeable that the results are somewhat pixelated. However, the labels are still well readable. It is not possible to set different fonts, but one can be changed by italic, bold, shading, mirror font and other styles. Unfortunately, there is only a simple frame available to spice up the design.
Also, the display is not convincing, as it is very small and can only display four characters. In addition, labels for the layout options that have been set appear on the display.
However, the umlauts can easily be written using a shift key. This is a plus point.
Accessories for use
The device uses six AA batteries. A power supply is not available as it was developed as a mobile device. It is practical that the label switches itself off after six minutes to save the batteries. In total, the label device weighs 460 g with tape and batteries. The packaging, which consists of a lot of plastic and can only be opened with scissors, attracts negative attention.
A function for saving labels is provided. However, only one design can be saved. If the battery is changed, the draft is retained. If the batteries are missing for a long time, the memory will be lost.
Unfortunately, the menu is not convincing either, as it contains English abbreviations that either become clear by trial and error or become understandable by reading the instructions several times. Fortunately, the manual is in German and has a good structure. Even the individual functions are illustrated.
An additional warranty is not offered by Casio.
