The Brother P-touch H105WB is a mobile device that is relatively expensive to purchase. It convinces with a clear menu navigation and a large selection of decorative elements. It has a good display and Brother can convince with a long warranty. On the negative side, the device is relatively heavy.
For a mobile device, the Brother P-touch H105WB is relatively heavy at half a kilogram but can convince with its complete keyboard and fast printing speed.
The device is designed for mobile use. It is comfortable in the hand and features easily accessible rubber buttons that are easy to press. The keyboard is designed according to ABC and even has numbers. The display is also sufficiently large.
The P- touch H105WB reaches a high printing speed of 13 mm per second. The belt width is 12 mm, another size cannot be used, but it is available in all possible colours. The advantage is that these ribbons are even from Brother direct cheaper than other formats. This compensates for the high purchase price if used frequently. Unfortunately, every printout leaves 24 mm margin, which is an above-average bad value compared to other devices.
The print quality is very convincing. Although only one font can be set, many frames and other decorative elements can be selected. Settings such as italics, bold, underlined or drop shadows are also possible.
Even cable labels can be printed by an integrated function of special tape types.
The labels are clearly visible on the large display. Symbols, frames and decorative elements are also visible.
Accessories for use
The device requires six AA batteries for operation, which also contributes to its high weight. The menu navigation is available in German and many other languages. It is simple and intuitive so that you can find your way around quickly. Because the manual is, unfortunately, an unwieldy piece of paper with small letters.
Finished labels can be stored on a total of nine memory locations so that they can be called up quickly. Even if the device is not used for a long time and the batteries are missing, the memory remains.
Brother even offers a three-year warranty. You have to register online for this. However, the warranty changes if original tapes are not used.
