The Sony - WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones impress with a Quick Charge mode, charge for 10 minutes, 5 hours of performance. The touch sensor also makes a very good impression. Unfortunately, the headphones aren't delivered charged and the charging cable is only 16 cm long.
The Sony - WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones are delivered in a high-quality and stable packaging, which protects the product well. The headphones themselves are in an extra storage case, which is covered on the inside with black fabric, and has three small compartments for the adapter, a connecting cable to the Smartphone with a length of 1.20 m and a charging cable.
The earcups lie smoothly upon the ears and adapt perfectly to them. The left earcup can be used to switch noise cancelling on and off, the ON/OFF switch and the insertion hole for the connection cable to the smartphone are also located there. The right earcup is used to charge the headphones as well as to control volume, track change, stop, pause and playback. The control works via a touchpad located on the side of the shells.
The manufacturer grants the headphones a European Sony warranty.
Included in the delivery:

In order to use the Sony - WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones, you have to charge them first. The battery charging time is 3 hours. You should make sure that the red light next to the plughole lights up. Only then, the headphones will charge! The battery charging time is 3 hours. While the headphones are charging, you should download the app - Sony Headphones Connect. This will guide you through all the important steps later. You can also use the app to control noise reduction, air pressure optimisation or the sound quality mode, for example. It's a really helpful companion.
When the headphones are fully charged, you can turn them on. To do this, press and hold the Power button on the left shell for about 7 seconds. During this time, the small light next to it lights up blue and starts flashing as soon as the headphones are switched on. The assistant will also tell you which mode the headphones are in. Once the headphones are connected to the device of your choice, you can turn on the music. It is very easy to control the device. You can use the touchpad on the right earpiece. Here you can start or pause playback by double-tapping, wipe to the right or left, change or repeat the track. Wiping up or down changes the volume. This works with very high precision.
When the battery life is nearing its end, you can either charge it for a short 10 minutes and the battery will last about 5 hours or you can charge it for 3 hours and get 30 hours of full power. The charging cable is only 16 cm long.
The noise reduction of Sony's Noise Cancelling headphones is very good, the ambient noise is eliminated and you can fully concentrate on your music. The sound is also very clear and gets the most out of your songs. When no music is playing, the noise suppression is not bad either, conversations or other sounds are perceived only discreetly by you. Similar to his competitors, these headphones are susceptible to high frequencies but suppress the low frequencies.
When it comes to Bluetooth stability, the Sony headphones are also okay. If you live in an apartment, you can move around flexibly and control the music from anywhere. In a house, however, it gets difficult because, after about 20 metres and a few obstacles, the music gradually stops and begins to fade and break off.
The speech quality is not the best either. If you're not connected to your phone via the connection cable and a call comes in, simply double-click the touchpad to accept it. The caller hears your voice very clearly, you can understand the caller's voice perfectly. Unfortunately, you also hear your own voice, so you hear two voices at the same time. When you get a call and you're connected to your phone via cable, it looks different. This time you do not hear your own voice in the background, but the voices of you and the caller are both very dull to hear. In addition, the caller hears you with an echoing background.
