Very good wearing comfort. The mono mode allows for easy separation of the headphones but is not as well described.

The Optoma - BE Free6 Premium True Wireless Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones are very good and can easily replace cable headphones. The connection is fast and very stable. The operation is simple and the wearing comfort is high. A great feature is the single-mode, which allows the headphones to be used independently. The sound is also good and pleasant in the ear. The headphones can be safely charged in the charging case and achieve a good runtime. There are deductions due to the missing noise canceling and the overlookable description of the mono mode, which is difficult to find out on your own.
Appearance and equipment
I have tested the Optoma - BE Free6 Premium True Wireless Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones in the colour "black". The in-ear headphones are well made and look stable. They are "true wireless", meaning: The earpieces are completely cable-free.
In the scope of delivery are:
- In-Ear headphones and charging box
- Rubber adapters one pair each in sizes XS, S, M and L
- USB C charging cable
- Operating instructions
Operating the headphones
Connecting to your smartphone is fast via Bluetooth. There is no additional app for the headphones. The instructions use pictograms to describe how to connect and use the headphones. But there is no description of the mono mode, with which the headphones can also be disconnected and connected to different devices.
By pressing the switches on the back of the headphones for about four seconds, a connection between the two headphones is established, which is confirmed with "Paired". It is also possible to connect only one headphone when the other one is switched off. As soon as a connection to the mobile phone is established, an automatic voice confirms the connection with "Device Connected".
Each plug has the same settings, so you can pause or start the music with the left and right plug.
The music is started or stopped when you press a switch once. To rewind a song, you have to press the switch twice, to repeat a song three times and to rewind a song directly three times again.
To adjust the volume, you cannot use the headphones and have to change the volume on the connected device.
With me, the headphones sit very securely, in the ears and are also suitable for smaller ears. Even with more movement the plugs are safe in the ears and do not fall out so easily.
Even when the headphones are paired, the music does not stop playing when you take one of the plugs out of the ear.
The sound quality is very good and clear. Trebles are reproduced very clear, full and clearly resolved. Deeper tones are reproduced just as well. There is no lack of bass and overall the sound is of very good quality. The volume settings are also appropriate and the sound is neither too loud nor too quiet.
The headphones don't have a noise-canceling function, but they do shield outside noise well. While listening to music, you hardly notice any noise and especially the muffled sounds are well shielded.
Bluetooth stability is very good. Only after a distance of about 20 meters and 4 lightweight walls as a barrier the connection slowly becomes brittle. Since the smartphone is usually within arm's reach anyway, or at least in the same room, there's nothing wrong with the Bluetooth. Independence from the mobile phone is especially practical for sports.
Even after a longer period of not using the headphones, a quick reconnection is established.
In mono mode, you can play different music on the two headphones and share the headphones with someone who wants to listen to their own music. Monomode is described in the user manual, but it is not clearly indicated that this function exists.
To enter this mode, remove the left plug from the charger box and connect it to the phone first. Only when this connection is established, remove the right plug and connect it to the other phone. The right plug is otherwise the main plug and would, if the order were different, pair with the left plug and play the same music.
The hands-free or telephone function is very good. You can understand the caller fluently and clearly through the headphones. The called person also does not even notice that he/she is being called via a headset and hears you clearly and noise-free.
The headphones are automatically charged in the transport box. In total, the headphones can be fully charged up to three times, giving a total running time of 18 hours. The headphones are on as soon as they are taken out of the box and connect immediately. They also lose connection immediately when they are placed in the box. They can also be switched on and off individually. If the plugs are not placed in the box at the same time, the battery status may vary. It is not possible to read the individual exact battery states.
At the front of the transport box, there are three small lights that show the battery status of the box. The instructions describe when the lights indicate what. While the plugs are charging, an orange light on the switch lights up.
To charge the box and thus the headphones, the box must be connected to the USB C cable supplied. This cable is only about 25 cm long and therefore quite short. A power plug is not included.
Otherwise, the headphones are safely stored in the transport box and are protected from damage or loss. The headphones are held in the box by a magnet and will not fall out when the open box is turned over or shaken.
