The Laser Barcode Scanner from Proster is a lightweight for long working hours but is useless for inventory and larger stores because it works only with a cable. In addition, the manual is only available in English and is also incomplete, making it difficult for beginners to use the scanner. The few adjustment possibilities work satisfactorily and the volume cannot be adjusted.
The Laser Barcode Scanner from Proster is very light, which makes it possible to work with it for a long time.
The packaging of the scanner is simple and unprinted. There is no label on the contents of the product.
This barcode scanner is made of black plastic and is, therefore, a practical lightweight and comes with a cable. It has a simple appearance and fits well in the hand. It is also well made and has rubber protection to reduce impact and shock.
Only a few seconds are needed to connect and set up the scanner (self-explanatory through plug and play). It is simply connected to the computer with the cable and immediately transmits the scans to open word processing programs or Excel.
Unfortunately, the cable interferes with the use and therefore the device cannot be used in an uncomplicated way for larger companies or inventories on large areas.
Various programs can be set on the barcode scanner. Among them is a permanent activation of the laser to scan several products one after the other (Laser/CCD MODE - Continuous Scan).
The operating manual is given a deficient status because it lacks essential functional descriptions (e.g. the setup). The programming codes are also inadequately explained, making it almost impossible for persons unfamiliar with the product to work with the device. In addition, the user must understand English because there is no other language of the instructions.
Unfortunately, there is no volume control on this scanner. Moreover, the cable can only be removed impractically with a pointed object through an opening, a thing that is also not mentioned in the manual.
