Special features

The Inateck - Barcode Scanner Wireless can be used with either cable or wireless and comes with detailed instructions. In addition to various practical programs, it has a very long battery life and a scan distance of up to 60 m.

The packaging of the scanner is simply described. This barcode scanner is with a weight of 199 g the heaviest in the test, which becomes to its disadvantage, as after working with the device for a longer time, the hand can get heavy. The device itself is well made and has a modern design. A TPU rubber protection layer acts as a shock and impact absorber.

Scan Modes

In just a few moments, the device can be set up with or without cables. A cable application connects the scanner to the computer and for wireless use, an adapter is plugged into the USB port of the computer. A word processing program or Excel should be open so that the device can immediately transfer the scans.
During the inventory setting of the wireless device, it is possible to work with Bluetooth up to a distance of 60 m. If there is no USB stick at the end device, the scanner transfers the data to Android devices via an OTG adapter.

The device has various options, functions and setting possibilities, such as permanent scanning by permanently activating the laser for many products, a volume control, hiding of unwanted codes, the setting of prefix and suffix as well as the memory of up to 5.000 barcodes in the inventory setting. In addition, several output options are available in addition to other functions. All settings made remain stored when the device is switched off.

According to the manufacturer, various types of barcodes are supported: among others EAN, Code 128, UPC, USPS, FedEx, VIN, Code 32. In the test, the following barcodes could not be recognized or could only be recognized incorrectly: Code25, EAN-5, EAN-2, PZN7, PZN8, MSI Plessey, PostNet and Royal Mail. When testing EAN-5, the first digit is ignored by the scanner, whereas for PZN7 and PZN8 letters are replaced by an eszett.
