The Jago - Half Round Parasol Base is a visually very attractive accessory on the balcony. However, the synthetic resin is very vulnerable to scratches and you should be careful on rough surfaces. As long as only a light breeze blows, the parasol stands securely in the stand and does not tip over. If the wind gets stronger, you should fix the parasol additionally, because the plate is not very stable with only 9 kg.

  • Beautiful design
  • Space-saving

  • Very low weight, so that the glider quickly tends to tip
  • Vulnerable material for scratches and marks

Nice design but it quickly suffers from scratches and tips quickly over due to its low weight.

Overview and structure

The Jago - Half Round Parasol Base is delivered in a cardboard box. The stand can be quickly screwed together and is then ready for use on the balcony or any other area. There are no rollers under the product, which would make handling easier. However, since the stand only weighs approx. 9kg, it is easy to lift.

A stainless steel tube is screwed onto the base and the stand is assembled.

The tube is fixed with a screw

With 2 screws, which are tightened, a plastic surface is pressed against the parasol handle and the handle is fixed in the stainless steel tube. At the top of the tube, there is a plastic part, which should protect the handle from scratches. The thickness of the parasol can be between 30 and 40 mm. Screws do not grip parasol that are too thin.

If you push and pull the parasol, it is easy to move and tilts quickly, especially to the straight side. You have to make sure that the parasol is really held in the stainless steel tube and if there is a greater risk of tipping, it is additionally attached to the balcony railing.

The sunshade stand is made of synthetic resin and stainless steel. The resin is susceptible to scratches and discoloration. It is also possible that the plastic surface loses stability after frequent use with thinner parasols and bends permanently.
