The instant camera Instax SQ 6 EX D by Fujifilm is not only convincing with its unique retro design, but above all with its diverse functions and good image quality. It is very easy to use and can easily be taken along on events or trips. A real eye-catcher!
The digital instant camera Instax SQ 6 EX D von Fujifilm comes in a small, handy package on which the most important functions are labelled. The Polaroid camera stands out especially with its beautiful retro design (this has the colour purple/pink metallic). It is significantly larger than the cameras tested in comparison, but still easy to hold in your hand. The first impression is very positive. The quality of the camera is very high.

The instant camera from Fujifilm is, like its predecessors, very easy and intuitive to use. To use the camera, you first have to insert the supplied batteries (CR2 lithium batteries) into the battery compartment.
To be able to insert the film cassette (film cassettes are not included and have to be purchased separately). Only the FUJIFILM instant film "instax SQUARE" can be used!), you have to activate the back wall lock to open the back wall. The yellow marking helps as support, so that the film cassette is inserted correctly around. The film cover is then automatically pushed out when the back cover is closed. When the shutter release button is pressed, the film cover (black) is pushed out and the "10" for the available images are displayed in the frame counter.
To turn the camera on, slide the On/Off switch to the "ON" side. The lens will then extend and the LED on A will light. In addition, the camera has an auto power off feature. This means that if the camera has not been operated for more than 5 minutes, the LEDS on the back of the camera will turn off and the camera will switch itself off automatically. The lens has a focal length of 65.75 mm and a fixed aperture of 12.6.
To take pictures, you can choose one of the many modes. The shutter release button is located on the front right of the lens. Each time a photo is taken, the frame counter counts down from "10" and "0" is displayed when the film is used up. When the camera stops making noise, the still image is fully extended. The development time for the photo is approximately 90 seconds, depending very much on the ambient temperature. During the test attempt, once a whole black image came out and the frame counter was displayed incorrectly. But this did not happen again during the second test.
If you want to use the self-timer, you have to press the "self-timer button". The self-timer lamp will light for about 7 seconds and then for another 3 seconds after which the shutter will release.
