Safe hydration bladder with easy cleaning but cumbersome sealing.

The Widepac Water Tank by Source scores with the cleaning, but is difficult to close. In addition, removing the plastic taste requires some patience during cleaning. An advantage is the screw cap and the protective cap for the mouthpiece.
The Widepac Water Tank by Source scores with the cleaning, but is difficult to close.
The Source drinking bubble is relatively comfortable to use. To fill the bubble, the cap is pulled to the side. The slide is unfortunately not fixed, but has a striking red colour and is therefore not lost. The opening is large enough with 7 cm to be able to fill ice cubes into the bag. Closing it is a bit difficult because the slider does not slide properly and is partly tilted. If one does not notice it, the bubble runs out.
The drinking tube can then be attached. It snaps into the opening and can be removed again at the push of a button.
We have carried out a taste test before and after cleaning. Before the first cleaning, a clear plastic taste was noticeable. Also after the cleaning with warm water and detergent, we could notice a plastic taste. A good tip is the cleaning with Kukident-cleaning pills, which could eliminate the unpleasant chemical taste.
For drinking the mouthpiece has to be turned. This protects you from leakage. The liquid flows out immediately in an appropriate quantity and can be sucked out of the bubble to the last drop. In addition, the mouthpiece has a cap that protects against dirt. If the protective cap is not used, the bladder can be operated with one hand.
Cleaning the bladder is relatively easy thanks to the large opening. Although the bladder cannot be turned over completely due to the material, the opening is large enough to allow the bladder to be cleaned by hand from the inside. The drinking tube is easy to clean with a tube brush.
The drinking bladder leaves a good and robust impression. The material is flexible, so it can be rolled relatively small.
In our test, we froze the filled bladders. While the bladder was defrosted, we moved and shaken it to see if it could withstand transport. The Source bladder passed the test without any problems and is still usable.
