Make a very good impression, but could be uncomfortable for small hands in the long run.

The Effekt Manufaktur - Carbon Hiking Poles are very easy to handle and practical. The versatile accessories make the walking poles the perfect companion on various surfaces. A clear disadvantage in use is that the poles have a strong tendency to vibrate, especially when walking on harder surfaces. Also, the material of the rubber buffers is quite hard and you can hear the poles when you put them on.
The Effekt Manufaktur - Carbon Hiking Poles are delivered in a bag with a drawstring, which can also be used as a transport bag. In the accessories are:
- Hiking poles
- 3 different rubber buffers (shoes, asphalt and round attachments)
- 2 different plates (mud plate and snow plate)
The instructions describe in detail how to adjust the poles for the respective body size, as well as other adjustment options.
The materials are of very high quality and appear robust. The handle has a cork trim and is otherwise made of plastic. In addition, a hand strap is attached to the handle, which is equipped with a soft fabric on the inside to avoid friction. Towards the bottom, the handle is extended with foam, so that you can reach around in steeper areas and keep the stick shorter. The poles of the poles are made of carbon. At the bottom, there is a metal tip which can be covered by the different rubber buffers. With a thread, the plates can be fixed before.
The poles are adjusted telescopically. The clamps are released and the pole can be extended. Small markings ensure that the pole is not pulled out too far. The poles can be adjusted continuously between 62cm and 135cm and can, therefore, be used individually. On the telescopic poles, the lengths are described in centimetres. For example, if you want to adjust the length 110 cm, you have to set both poles to 110. In this way, you will get the right length and the poles are extended equally.
When the stick is extended, nothing wobbles and the stick is firm.
Folded up, these sticks are quite large in comparison and have a packing size of approx. 70 x 14 x 10 cm.
In order to test the walking sticks in use, we walked over various surfaces, such as paved stone floor, asphalt, sandy paths, softer meadow soil and up and down hills.
It was noticeable that the harder the ground, the more the poles vibrated when we put them on. On soft ground, the vibrations were softer. Otherwise, the sticks are easy to walk with and especially uphill you can support yourself well on the sticks and use them as a safe helper.
The material of the rubber buffers hardly slips on stones, only when the pole is set too diagonally. However, the material is very hard, so that you can hear it clattering when you are walking on solid ground.
The handles are a little too thick for small hands. Otherwise, the handles are easy to grip and are discreet but pleasantly shaped. The material of the handle can hardly be pressed in and is very firm.
The length adjustment is very comfortable and can be adjusted to almost any size.
