Optics and equipment
The Amazon - Kindle Paperwhite has a beautifully designed packaging with lots of information.
The e-reader is black and completely made of plastic. It is of high quality and has a matt surface. The material also feels very pleasant here.
The workmanship is excellent and the device is waterproof.
Compared to the other test participants, the product is a bit heavier, but this doesn't mean that it is more unwieldy.
On the underside of the e-reader is the on/off switch, as well as the mains plug opening and a small indicator light.
The memory of the Kindle Paperwhite is 8 GB.
Since no SD card slot is integrated, it is not possible to expand the memory space.
The display is very sharp and offers integrated lighting. However, the light does not regulate itself automatically. Nevertheless, there is an excellent reading quality at any time of day, because a very good illumination in the dark and in direct sunlight is guaranteed.
There are already 9 fonts pre-installed in the device, which can be defined in 14 font sizes. Further fonts can be added independently.
