The operation of the GinoGelati ice cream machine (model GG-220W Ice-Chef) is very easy and also the cooling function and the integrated timer are advantageous. However, the production of conventional "hard" ice cream is a bit complicated. Another drawback is the uneven consistency of the ice cream as well as the high volume.
Scope of delivery and equipment
The Gino Gelati - GG-220W Ice-Chef is supplied with the ice cream machine itself and its operating instructions with recipe suggestions, a spatula and a measuring cup.
With the GinoGelati ice cream machine you can produce soft and "hard" ice cream as well as sorbet and frozen yoghurt.
The operation of the GinoGelati ice cream machine is very simple.
You fill the ice mixture into the removable container, which is then placed into the ice machine. Then you fix the mixer in the container and the mains plug is connected.
To start the ice cream production, you have to set the machine to soft ice cream with the MODE button.
Set the timer using the TIME and TIME+ buttons. Finally, just press the ON/OFF button.
The making of soft ice cream is finished after the timer has expired.
However, making traditional "hard" ice cream requires a further step:
You have to disconnect the ice cream machine from the power supply, remove the mixer, then plug the machine in again and set it to hard ice with the MODE button, as well as press the ON/OFF button.
After the timer has elapsed, you will receive the finished "hard" ice cream.
Useful is the cooling function of the ice cream machine, which is automatically activated after the timer has elapsed.
This prevents the ice from melting if you don't want to eat the ice immediately.
Switching on and off, which is necessary for the production of conventional hard ice, is somewhat impractical. Here the competition offers better options.
With the timer you can define how hard the ice should become.
Negatively, however, it is noticeable that the consistency varies greatly: At the edge of the container the ice is already very solid, while in the middle it is still almost liquid.
Cleaning the GinoGelati ice cream machine is very simple.
The removable container, mixer and lid can be rinsed under running water.
It is a bit cumbersome to clean the inside of the mixer. A brush is needed to remove all ice residue.
The manufacturer recommends wiping all parts with a damp cloth.
Never immerse the appliance in water. In particular, the motor and the compressor must not come into contact with water.
