Simple operation and optimum results in the shortest possible time, but initially prone to smoke. Good price-performance ratio.

The device

The Cake-Pop-Maker von Tristar comes in a classic design, which is very similar to a waffle iron. The silver case looks very stable at first sight. With the integrated pop cake baking pan, you can bake 12 cake pops per pass. In addition, this cake pop maker has a non-stick coating and there are two indicator lights (red/green) on the lid. The lid is easy to close thanks to a safety catch and does not slip due to the anti-slip feet.

Included in delivery:

  • Device
  • Operating instructions (incl. recipes)
  • Fork to take out the cake pops
  • 50 cake pop sticks

Application

The operation of this device is very simple. Before using the device for the first time you should clean it with a damp cloth. It is recommended to grease the baking tray before inserting the plug into the socket. If you insert the plug into the socket, the appliance will automatically start to warm up. This takes about 3 minutes, then the recommended baking temperature is reached and the green light goes out. Since the housing, especially the lid, can heat up to 60 degrees during the warm-up period (even up to 140 degrees at the edge), the lid should only be opened/closed with the aid of a pot holder.

Freshly baked cakepops from Tristar Cake Pop Maker

This test was carried out using a recipe from the operating manual with the following ingredients:

  • 190 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 120 g butter
  • 225 g sugar
  • 1 small bag vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 225 ml of milk

The finished dough can then be poured into the moulds using a spoon or piping bag. The preparation time varies according to the recipe. But the average time for making cake pops is about 3-4 minutes. During the baking time, you can use toothpicks or cake pop sticks to check whether the cake pops are ready. There was no excess at the edge.

The result is convincing with really round cake pops.

The cake pops from this device are well baked and also convince by their shape, because the cake pops really look like round balls and taste good.

Afterwards, you can decorate the cakepops. The instructions also include other tips&tricks, as well as recipes for decorating the cakepops.

Cleaning

The appliance or baking tray is not dishwasher-safe and must therefore be cleaned with a damp cloth.
