The security camera from ieGeek seems to be cheaply processed. However, the first impression does not reflect in the final result. The device convinces by a good picture quality as well as a sensitive motion detection. Almost every movement is captured by the camera. The connection is also stable and reliable. Via the Wi-Fi antenna, the transmission is a bit worse and can be a bit delayed, but that's not a big problem.
The security camera ieGeek 1080P from ieGeek is delivered in an illustrated and attractive packaging that is easy to open. The instructions are available in English and several other languages, illustrated and clearly understandable.
Scope of delivery

You'll need a 2.4G Wi-Fi frequency bandwidth to get started. You'll also need the CamHi app, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play. After that, all you have to do is to connect the camera with the LAN cable and plug in the power supply, and you're ready to install.
The colour of the device is mainly black.
If the device is connected to the Internet via the LAN cable, the picture quality is perfect. If you are connected via the Wi-Fi antenna, the quality of the picture is significantly lower, the picture jerks and the transmission often lags behind.
Even at night, the picture quality is perfect.
The motion detection is sensitive, but the camera does not detect every movement. Conspicuous and clear changes are perceived immediately by the camera.
After I had mounted the camera on my terrace, the motion detector continuously raised the alarm. In Hamburg weather conditions, that means a lot of rain and especially a lot of wind, it makes no sense to have the motion detection switched on. The device cannot distinguish between a moving branch and a person. If you have the option, you can narrow down the range of the motion detection accordingly.
If the camera detects a movement, a message immediately appears on the connected mobile device.
The connection via the LAN cable is working properly. If the device is connected to the Internet via the Wi-Fi antenna, the picture jerks and the transmission is lagging behind. The connection is unstable and may break at any time.
The maximum size of the memory card is 128 GB.
We have exposed the surveillance cameras to all conceivable weather conditions for several months. Whether snow, hail or simply Hamburg's constant rain: There was nothing that spared our cameras.
The surveillance camera from ieGeek was not affected by the weather conditions in Hamburg and delivered a constant good image quality and transmission.
