The TOPELEK Air bed did well in the comfort test. Over a longer period of time, hardly any air escaped and the material does not smell of chemicals, so it is of high quality. The assembly and disassembly is extremely simple and easy to understand in the instructions. With a time of 2:34 min the inflation went very fast, also the air blow off does not take too long with 3:53 min. All around a satisfying result.
The TOPELEK Airbed comes in a cardboard box that contains no information other than a discreet info sticker. The airbed is packed in a transport bag, except for a little bit of bubble wrap no plastic can be found. The mattress is covered on the upper side with a light grey, flocked and thus water-repellent material, otherwise from a grey PVC material. When taken out, the airbed feels very good and robust and, unlike some competitor models, it hardly smells chemical.
For use, the mattress must be unfolded and placed in a dry place. The 220 V cable is integrated directly into the airbed. In the packaging you will also find the instructions for use, which are written in five languages in a concise but understandable way. Unfortunately, it does not contain any pictures or illustrations that visually illustrate the structure and use of the airbed.
Information about the warranty can only be found in the Internet description. It says that you can return the mattress within 45 days if you do not like it.
The delivery includes:
- Instruction manual
- 4 reparation patches
- Air bed
The TOPELEK Air bed should be connected to the power supply when unfolded. Then the construction is very simple: A switch box with a rotary knob is integrated on the side of the air bed.
The following settings can be operated on the button: "INFLATE / AIR BLOW", "OFF", "DEFLATE / LEAVE AIR". To let air in, turn the switch from "OFF" to "INFLATE". Then the ventilation starts automatically. Please note: The ventilation must under no circumstances be blocked or dirty! You have to set the switch back to "OFF" if you feel that the mattress is inflated enough to stop the air supply.
It took about 2 minutes and 34 seconds for the airbed to have a solid height and to feel ready for testing. It was noticeable that the temperature of the ventilation was slightly higher when inflated, but not as heated as in the competition. The ventilation was also very loud - measured at a distance of one meter, the sound level meter showed a level of just under 82 dB.
One should therefore pay attention to the time of construction if people are already sleeping in the house or if there are noise-sensitive creatures in the room.
As soon as the air is to be released again, the switch must be turned from "OFF" to "DEFLATE". It took about 3 minutes and 53 seconds until the air was completely sucked out of the air bed.
It is recommended to let the ventilation cool down before storing. The air bed can then simply be folded up again and placed in the transport bag.
The air bed did very well in the comfort test. The air did not escape and the couch feeling was comfortable. Even on a hard laminate floor, the airbed is very comfortable. Even after several minutes of use, the mattress still looked very stable and air almost never escaped.
The size also scored well in our test. Two people fit on the airbed side by side without any problems. If you move on the mattress, it makes no unpleasant noises.
Fluff hardly sticks to the viscose surface.
After the comfort test, our air beds still had to pass the long-term test. We blew them up completely and set them up overnight. The difference in height is our result. The TOPELEK Air bed has a height of 45 cm in the evening. The next morning the air mattress was still 45 cm high, so it hardly lost any air overnight.
According to the instructions for use, a damp cloth should be used to clean dirt and dirt on the surface. The air bed should then be stored in a dry condition. Please do not use an aggressive cleaning agent as this can damage the air mattress. Once the air bed has been emptied, it can be stored in a cool, dry area.
