The Intex 64418 Air Bed Comfort did extremely well on the lie-flat test. Thanks to the integrated Fiber-Tech technology, you lie very comfortably as on a real mattress. This means you don't sink in over time and comfort is guaranteed for several nights. When inflated, air hardly escapes after a few hours. The material smells a little like chemistry, but is still of very high quality. The assembly and disassembly is totally simple and easy to understand in the instructions. With a time of 3:14 min the inflation took relatively longer, but this airbed is also the largest and almost twice as high as the competition. The air blowing was with 4:43 minutes more time-consuming, compared to other airbeds. All in all a very good result!
The Intex 64418 Air bed Comfort is packed in a very informative cardboard box, which looks a bit overcrowded by the many pictures and texts. The airbed is shrink-wrapped into a plastic cover. A transport bag is also included in the box.
The top of the mattress is covered with a grey, waterproof, flocked fabric, otherwise it is made of the same colour vinyl. When it is removed, the airbed feels very good in quality, it is noticeable that it smells slightly chemical. But the smell reduces after one hour of airing.
For use, the air bed must be unfolded and placed in a dry place. The 220 V cable is integrated directly into the mattress. To do this, the flap on the button must be opened. The instructions for use can also be found in the package and are written in 11 languages. The illustrations, which illustrate the structure and use of the airbed visually, are helpful.
The airbed has an additional guarantee of 90 days.
The delivery includes:
- Instruction manual
- 1 repair patch
The Intex 64418 Air bed Comfort should be connected to the power supply when unfolded.
Then the construction is very simple: On the side of the air bed a switch box with a rotary knob and and on/off switch is integrated. The following settings can be made on the switch: "INFLATE" and "DEFLATE". The on/off switch must be turned to allow air to enter. Ventilation will then start automatically. Please note: The ventilation must under no circumstances be blocked or dirty!
As soon as the air is to be deflated, the switch must be turned from "INFLATE" to "DEFLATE" and the on/off switch should be pressed again. It took about 4 minutes and 43 seconds for the air to be completely sucked out of the air bed.
It is recommended to let the ventilation cool down before storing. The airbed can then simply be folded up again and placed in the transport bag.
The airbed did very well in the comfort test. The air did not escape and the lying feeling was extremely comfortable. Even on a hard laminate floor, the airbed feels very good. Thanks to Fiber-Tech technology, the mattress is extremely stable and you don't sink in when lying down. It is therefore ideal for several overnight stays because it is easy on the back. Even after several minutes of use, the mattress still looked quite stable. The size also scores very well in our test. Two people fit on the airbed side by side without any problems.
The length of 2.2 m and the width of 1.55 m are also striking, so you can make yourself comfortable without having to pull your feet in. If you move on the mattress, you won't hear any unpleasant noises. Fluff also hardly sticks to the viscose surface. The only drawback is that the hair charges up a little statically when you lie on the mattress for longer.
After the comfort test, our airbeds had to pass the long-term test. We blew them up completely and set them up overnight. The difference in height is our result. The Intex 64418 Air Bed Comfort has a height of 55 cm in the evening. The next morning the air bed was still 55 cm high, so it lost almost no air.
According to the manufacturer, the air should be completely removed from the mattress before storage. The airbed should then be stored clean and dry. It should also be stored in a cool, non-wet room.
