Tame stubborn hair: The best styling tips

Almost every woman knows it - you get up in the morning, go to the bathroom and look a little sleepy in the mirror. It is not uncommon to be shocked to discover that a wild fuzzy head is standing opposite you. Then it's back to styling hair!

But how do you manage to turn the fuzzy head into a dream mane in the shortest possible time? We show you the best styling tips for wild, unruly hair.

1.Tip: Shampoo/Wash

It's the shampoo that counts! That's right, but there's another thing you should definitely pay attention to. The frequency with which you wash your hair. If possible, you should only wash your hair every 2-3 days a week. The more often you wash your hair, the faster your hair will become greasy. So it is better to get your hair used to being washed less often.

With shampooing, it depends on the hair type. Especially with unruly and thick hair, it makes sense to use special anti-frizz products, such as hair oils, serums or styling fluids and gels, which give unruly hair a particularly brilliant shine thanks to rich ingredients.

For coloured hair, use a shampoo and conditioner for colour-treated hair. This seals the colouration. A pre-wash primer also protects coloured hair from fading. Also important: Do not wash too hot! This puts even more strain on colour-treated hair and makes it dull and brittle.

2.Tip: Heat protection spray

Anyone who frequently straightens, dries, styles or curls their hair should never do without heat protection spray. You should only style your hair in a dry condition. Otherwise, you will damage the hair structure.

It is also much easier to handle heat from curling irons, straighteners (or blow dryers) when dry. However, to protect the hair even better, heat protection can be helpful. You can find heat protection products offered by various companies in the hair care section of the shops.

Nevertheless, you should be careful not to buy cheap products, because high-quality products have their price and different ingredients in comparison to many cheap equivalents. In order to protect your hair as best as possible, you should choose good heat protection.

3.Tip: Straightening iron, curling iron and Co.

After you have washed your hair with special shampoo, possibly used various oils or after-wash products for better hair care, and have not forgotten the heat protection, you can now style your hair with the help of electric hair products.

One of the most popular styling products is and remains the hairdryer. This has developed extremely in recent years and there is hardly a function that a blow dryer does not have. You can, for example, create beautiful waves with a hairdryer and a round brush, and as a result, you get a hairstyle a la Hollywood star.

The straightening iron also helps to make unruly hair look more groomed. In our product test we have a small selection of Straightening iron tested. With the straightening iron, you can not only straighten your hair and make it shiny but also create beautiful curls.

4.Tip: Body lotion and hairspray for a better hold

A little insider tip: Often we girls get annoyed when the so-called "baby hair" (little hairs) stick out, especially when you want to make yourself a ponytail.

With the help of hairspray, or alternatively a little body lotion and a brush made of soft bristles or a teasing brush, the baby hairs disappear in no time at all.
