Braun Silk-expert 3 BD 3005 IPL hair removal device - First experiences with the laser14.07.2020
UPDATE - The Braun - Silk-expert 3 BD 3005 IPL Test is now online.
Long term hair removal at home? The Braun Silk-expert BD 3005 IPL hair removal device makes it possible!
In the following report, we give you the opportunity to get an insight into the first two laser sessions.
It takes a little effort to dare to treat yourself with a laser device. After all, it is a laser, there is a reason why employees in beauty salons have to be trained for it. But as long as the device is used correctly and the instructions in the manual are followed, there is no danger! The laser device from Braun is our personal favourite. Here the device itself measures the condition of the skin and adjusts itself accordingly. There is also a gentle mode for sensitive areas. Everything has been thought of here.
But warm spots and slight pinching cannot be avoided! As the saying goes: if you want to be beautiful, you have to "suffer", even if not too much. Another positive aspect is the easy handling. The device lies well in the hand and due to this comfort, it can be used for a long time without a break.
If the growth of the hair is observed closely, after the second application it can be seen that the growth has slowed down a little. So you have to wait and be consistent!
Update - Braun Silk Expert 3 hair removal device
Finally, the long-awaited update for the hair removal device Braun Silk Expert 3 has arrived. How my views on this device have changed and how effective this method of hair removal with Braun products is, you can read in the following blog post!
The entire test period covers a period of 3 months, of which the Braun device is now in use for exactly 2 months. According to the instructions, the hair removal device should be used weekly and in our test, it was used on the right leg and under the right armpit. Unfortunately, the result is different than expected. Despite weekly application, it was not very effective. Although the hair is thinned out and grows back more slowly, there is a big difference compared to the Philips Lumea. After a week, when you move your leg, you can feel small stubbles which are also visible.
In addition, the handling has also decreased over time. What was initially considered "ergonomic" and "adapted to the hand" lead to wrist dislocations over a longer time of use. Too bad for the device, because this is a point that adds to the already exhausting and time-consuming application.
On the positive side, however, it should be noted that the pinching on the skin caused by the laser beams (especially on sensitive areas of skin) has diminished after only a short time. This makes the application very pleasant and comfortable.
Another plus point is still the silent ventilation and the self-adjusting light intensity. This function makes the use of the device much easier and you do not need to worry about your skin.
