This curler does not make a good impression and does not create beautiful curls.

The device

The Rowenta - CF3710 So Curls Automatic Curler is delivered in a plain black box with golden accents. This device is reminiscent of a kind of hairdryer. The head of the device contains the heating system and the curl chamber. On the upper part of the handle are the setting options, 3 time-settings with acoustic signal and even 4 temperature settings, as well as a pilot light and the ON/OFF switch. On the side, there is a button to pull in the hair. The 1.80-meter long mains cable is connected at the bottom of the handle.

The packaging of the product is black and filled with lots of information and pictures. This contains the warranty certificate and a user manual. The manual was written in 30 languages and can be unfolded. Therefore it is very unwieldy and not very helpful.

Included in the scope of delivery are:

  • Curling
  • Power cords
  • Instruction manual
  • Guarantee card

The application

To prepare for the use of the Rowenta - CF3710 So Curls Automatic Curler, your hair should be free of burrs and dry. In addition, you should set the device correctly in advance. The tester's settings were 170° at 10 seconds.

At the beginning you should connect the curler to the power socket, the heating time is less than 5 minutes. During this time the curler releases a chemical odor, which disappears after a short time. The control lamp flashes while the curler is heating up. When it is still, the appliance is only ready for use.

Your individual strands should be about 2 cm thick and well separated from the rest of your hair. When using, make sure that the large opening is always facing your head. Then you can place the strand in the indentation, it is important that your hair does not overhang, then you can push the curler to the place where the curl should start.

When this is done you can press the button on the side of the curler and your hair will be pulled in. You should press the button until the sound of the coil goes out. You will hear beeps. Here are 4. A plus is that you do not have to count when the process is finished, the device emits many warning tones in quick succession.

When the beeps have sounded, you can simply pull your hair out of the device.

Unfortunately, a minus is that there is no anti-tangle function. The device stops, but only because it doesn't go any further. You will have to tear out your hair in pain.
